But when it comes to guys, my friend Hilary has got to be the most hilarious. She knows my crush, so she is always joking that she's going to tell him about how overly cute I think he is, but when she sees the guy she's been obsessing forever about, she like shies away like no tomorrow, i.e. no eye contact, no conversation, just staring from afar. Wonder why people do that, I would definitely rather the guy know I'm in existence than to blend into the crowd like everyone else. And one day, me and another friend of ours commented on how good her guy looked that day, she was like, no, he was smokin', lol

But yes, enough about my male talk for the day, my 21st birthday is coming in TEN days!! Yes, it is a rather big deal for me, as I am not getting any younger, and would very much so like to spend every waking moment of it in pure happiness. This year's birthday I would like to do something different. For the past couple years, my birthday has landed on a weekday, meaning spending my birthday from like 8AM to 10PM at the University due to midterms and group projects/presentations, and celebrating it four days later on a weekend just isn't the same. So, this year it finally lands on a weekend, and I would like to make the most of it =)

Let's see, what else to rant about... nothing really. I've been trying to give it more oil in regards to school, and that looks like it's taking shape. Been going out more often and less online, which is a very good sign, as Internet kills time and social life. Work is decent, don't get to see everyone I would like since I only work once a week, but still decent ;) Family is same old, same old, can't really expect much else. So yeah, that was my update for past two weeks.

Historical Blizzard

Ooh, first post of the year, how exciting is that =P

Know what else was a first, the blizzard I experienced on Wednesday!! By blizzard, I mean, there was zero visibility to drive and the wind was going at 90km/hr - that's the highway speed limit!

The whole morning, the only thing on the radio was how many cars fell into the ditch on the highways and freeways, and how nobody could see where they were going, yet there was still school and work to go to. Turns out, it wasn't just bad weather or heavy snow, it was a freaking blizzard starting up. During the morning, I was like oh, look how pretty it looks outside and took pictures of it through the window. By the afternoon, it started picking up so bad, I couldn't see anything outside aside from the snow blowing all over the place. I headed to one of my Finance classes, and my professor was like Education building is closed, Health Science building is closed, and on and on, but the Commerce building was NOT, so we had to continue with class. I picked up my cell phone during class, and saw it blinking with my younger sister's call, and I thought she just wanted to leave early, so I didn't pick up. Later, I found I had eight missed calls from her, and was like okay, kind of just going at it. Then another missed call came from her, so I just messaged her with four words, "In class, leave message." And she returned the message with two words, "Storm! Phone!" Then I finally looked out the window, and holy crap, all the cars and trees were covered with snow that they just looked like white lumps, and snow was blowing everywhere, there was no way anyone could see one feet ahead of them. Then, another call from my sister came, and I was so close to get packing and leave. Not long after, the administrator of the building FINALLY came to our class and was like the University is officially closed, please leave the grounds as soon as possible, and I was out the door.

However, turns out all the roads to my house was closed, so there was no way of getting home, so my older sister, younger sister, and I went over to my older sister's boyfriend's place since he lives near the University. Turns out, it took almost an hour to get there when it normally shouldn't even take five minutes. We literally stayed over there for like hours and hours on end, and kept saying that we would leave once it died down, but it didn't and was getting worse. We called home, and only my grandma and mom was there, as my brother called from his elementary school to tell them he was WALKING home (but luckily his best friend's dad drove him home in the end) and my dad was kept at work because the University hospital said it was too dangerous for any of them to leave the place. We pretty much decided that we might have to stay over at his place if push came to shove, but we ended up driving home in the end. Not all that smart, since we got stuck in the blizzard, but luckily a man came out of his car and helped push us out. Normally it takes a maximum of 20 minutes to get home, took us over an hour to get home since we couldn't see anything aside from the back lights of the car in front of us.

In the end, we made it home safe, though we got stuck when were we just about home, and the garage door wasn't working, and the driveway was full of snow, it was pretty horrible. The next day, as we were checking the news and what not, we found out that this was the second most severe blizzard in our city, the first one happened over 50 years ago. So as crazy as it sounds, it was quite exciting to be experiencing the blizzard. I mean, I can tell my kids and grandchildren about all of it, and that I lived through it, hehe. But yes, just thought I'd share that since it was pretty cool ;)

Word spreading, Movie, and Survivor

So, last night, my younger sister and I went to the movies with my neighbor and her younger sister, and when the two of us went over to their house, her dad was like are you all right. Oblivious to what he meant, I was like yeah, I think so, should I not be all right. Turns out, my grandma had told her mom, who told her husband, who asked me if I was all right when there were all the nosy parents in the Asian community present. Talk about words spreading fast, and I didn't even mention a word of it to anyone, aside from a couple of my close friends. Of course, my neighbor felt cut since I didn't tell her, but seriously, it'd be weird if I called her up and was like hey Karen, guess what, I totalled my car.

Anyway, we went to watch Night at the Museum, and I highly recommend it to everyone. Regardless of your age, sex, and yadda, yadda, it is an entertaining movie, and definitely hilarious on the most part ;)

Oh, and I never mentioned it earlier, so I'll say it now - Congratulations to Yul for winning Survivor: Cook Island!! He deserves it in every single way possible, intelligent, capable, and a great built, what more do I have to say ;) hehe, don't get me wrong, Ozzy was cool too, with his built and out-of-the-ordinary survival abilities, he did win the vast majority of the challenges. But this isn't just a survival game, because then Ozzy would have won, but this is a competition game, so when there are people as part of the game, strategies come into play, and as Jonathon puts it, "Yul played you all." It was so funny, because during the after-finale, they all kept making fun of Yul and how he is always so analytical about everything, and was like the probability of this and this happening is this and this ratio, lol. Also, I noticed that, though I've always prefered guys without facial hair, those two both looked better with facial hair than not, especially Ozzy. Saw the after-finale show, and oh gosh, Ozzy definitely needed his facial hair back =P But glad that Yul won the game, and that Ozzy won the car, 'cause Ozzy deserves recognition as well =) Ooh, and I loved that the last four were the four people who started as the minority alliance group, yet they managed to beat the odds and stick through to the very end!

Oh, and before I forget, Merry Merry Christmas everyone!! Hope everyone has an uber duber fantastical Christmas, and a safe and joyous New Year!!

Finals, Christmas Shopping, and The Price of Greed

Finals are officially DONE!! Holy moly, finished my last final today, and to my high beliefs, I believe I aced this one ;) Now to get on going with my life!! LOL

Ooh, of course the first thing on the list of to-dos for my break is Christmas Shopping!! Man, it killed to go to the mall today, but I got ALL my Christmas shopping done - aside from the family ones, lol. And I got myself a brown patterned tube top, as a gift for being so good with work =)

The Price of Greed is finally released, you can download the themevideo here. From the themevideo, Kate is the female lead. But that's all right, I'm still cool with the series, and Shirley has a good role, and that's more important to me ;) Really like the family relationship between Kingdom, Shirley, and Bosco, no doubt better than the one I have with my family =P Although this series isn't meant to be sad, it tends to feel sad, and that makes me feel sad =( Like the emotional arguments between Kingdom and Bosco, and when Shirley is crying. It's funny how both Kingdom and Bosco's biggest fear is Shirley crying, lol. A special mention on Shirley's improvement on the crying skills. It might be that it's because she's a mute, but her crying is more silent and subtle in this series =)

The pace of the series is quite fast, it's like all the love relationships are already all set. The background to some characters were not what I expected, but I definitely called it when I said that Shirley would like Bosco, and Bosco would only like Kate. So if all goes with the prediction, Shirley will end up alone, and Bosco and Kate will be together, while Sammul of course gets what he deserves as the villian.

Also, a mention to Kwok Fung, he is a loving dad and really wants the best for Kate, but love sucks that way, once you fall, you fall hard, and that is what happened to Kate for Sammul. hehe, yes, as you can see, I am highly enjoying the series. Better end off now before I write a whole ton of a summary for the series, lol

Waiting on Christmas!!

I got my first Christmas present on Wednesday!! Thank you to Eileen mui for the Justin CD!! You're so great, he's so cool, and I've been playing it every night before bed, LOL

Also, the very next day, I got a pretty phone strap from Mandy mui, hehe, a more feminine phone strap for my variety of phone straps =P

Last night my company had an early Christmas gathering, so we all went bowling and then out to supper. To put it simply, I had a very wonderful time. A different kind of wonderful though. Normally when I'm out with friends, it's more of a crazy, do a bundle of out-of-the-norm things, and meeting a lot of random people kind of situation. Plus, everyone is all around the same age. But this one was good in that it was more of a social gathering where everyone knows each other and laughed and talked about the silliest thing. I actually laughed myself to tears, and it was so hilarious, because the first thing I asked one of the driver's wife was whether or not I smeared my eyeliner from wiping the tears from my eyes (haha, yes, I am rather vain that way), and then he turns to his wife and was like, how about me, how about me, LOL =P And of course, all of us are of a different age range, so it wasn't really about meeting anyone in particular, but a bonding kind of time, since I'm already rarely at work, and then add on that half of them are rarely in the building during work, so it was to actually just sit down and chat =)

And I bumped into a friend that afternoon after work while I was shopping for gifts, and we talked for a while about all the things running around in our lives, and she was wanting to have a get-together with a bunch of us from highschool, so I really can't wait for that since it's been a while that we all got together and hung out ;)

Everything generally just feels great in every possible way recently, and I'm not sure if it's the hype from waiting on Christmas to come or the snowballing effect of my life making a beautiful turn, but I'm loving it, lol

But yes, time to stop now as I am yet to start studying for my LAST final. And of course before ending off, I must say I love Michael Miu!! lol, he's just so great in every single way possible, and regardless of his outcome in Dicey Business, he's still the best! LOL

Good looking, good character, good season

You know what, Jude Law is very good looking. haha, The Holiday is currently airing, and there are trailers and posters for it everywhere, so it's hard to not notice him (even more, lol). He like stands out with his absolutely charming smile. Yup, he's definitely the reason I want to watch the movie (then again, I don't like Cameron Diaz, so likely won't end up watching, hehe).

Oh, and you know who else is uber duber cool - Michael Miu!! I finally got bored of watching Dicey Business, so am skimming it like no tomorrow, but every second Michael's on, I'm like rewinding it and watching it again, and again. He's so great =P

And you know what makes this holiday so special, the Christmas spirit. I'm like constantly in a beautiful mood, regardless of the stress for finals and what not, it's undeniable. Can't wait until Finals are over and Christmas break officially starts (on the 21st for me), because I really need to get out and enjoy the seasonal spirit - and meet people ;)

Price of Greed AND The Brink of Law AIRING!!

Just wanted to give everyone the GOOD news - Price of Greed will be airing in Australia on December 26, 2006!!

This means we will ALL get to watch it after Christmas =) hehe, yes, this makes me really happy, because it's on my break, which means free time and being able to watch a series I'm actually anticipating!

End of entry, lol

Wednesday, December 6, 2006

lol, okay, another good news, but I'm reluctant to start another new topic for it =P

The Brink of Law will be airing in HK startinig January 1, 2007!! haha, talk about double good news, hey ;)

Start of the Christmas month

So, I got into a car accident yesterday morning (yes, what a way to start my December). The car is pretty much totalled, and I injured some soft tissues, but nothing severe. Everything was generally absorbable, aside from my dad's idiocy, which I prefer to just end there. But the pain is finally kicking in today, I'm sore all around the neck area, so I assume I got whiplash, which sucks. Oh, and the cop that came to help me was hot, I remember that, lol, I'm such a dork, I know, wasn't exactly the time to notice that was it, LOL

But yeah, since it seems like everyone is out making Christmas lists and doing Christmas shopping now, I thought I might as well do the same =P

1. Eason Chan - What's Going On...? (CD+DVD)
- I'm a fan of Eason, though I don't talk about it or show it, lol, he's an actual talent, love him

2. Jay Chou - Still Fantasy (CD+DVD)
- I've always quite liked Jay, he's the very rare talent of the new flow of generation singers, haha

3. Janice M. Vidal (Wei Lan) - Do U Know (CD+DVD)
- Currently taking a liking to Janice, her songs are nice to relax to, hehe

4. And I like CLOTHES. I prefer form-fitting clothes (especially halters, the ones that tie around the neck, they are so pretty), because I'm vain and like to show off my figure, LOL =P

Ooh, speaking of clothes, I was surfing online, and found some that I wish this dinky city would provide, lol

a. I really, really love this one.

b. Same goes with this, but I generally love this cutting of clothes.

e. Love how this can turn inside out, like two shirts in one, LOL

g. I am YET to watch Borat, Happy Feet, and all those movies due to my tight schedule lately, so will definitely make time for it this weekend. But some other ones to add to the list are Bobby, and The Curse of the Golden Flower. Bobby is about the assassination of JFK and how the lives of others are affected during the event, and The Curse of the Golden Flower is about two rulers (Chow Yun Fat and Gong Li) competing each other for power, but eventually falls for one another, hehe, power is attraction ;)

Speaking of the screen, No Turning Back is really, really tragic. You can just see and feel the tense atmosphere at all times. Really don't like Patrick's hair, lol, that's the first thing I noticed about him! Hawick hasn't turned evil yet, and is currently pretty cool right now, lol. It was funny, because Hawick said a line to Patrick that I tend to say to my younger sister. It was, "The journey is unimportant, it is the outcome that matters." See, don't we make a good match =P hehe, actually, I'm anticipating for Gabriel Harrison to show up, I've always had a liking for him ;) Aww... and it was so sad watching Amy deal with her family. It's so messed up, yet I totally understand how she can't just ditch them, so horrible =(

Omigosh, another sad scene was from Dicey Business. The part where Bosco sees the guy that kidnapped him, and then you learn about the things he went through during his "hostage" days. The most horrible part is that it's already toned down for series, in reality, things are a lot worse =( Ooh, but what cheers me up - Michael!! hehe, I just love this guy like no tomorrow. Love how he is so matter-of-fact with everything he does, doesn't need to explain anything to anyone, just does what he feels he needs to do =)

Winter is OFFICIALLY here!!

My gosh, snow is one thing, but wind just kills! A group of us were chatting about the weather in Sociology yesterday, and one of the guys was like, it's supposed to be 28 this weekend. Out of reaction, I was like plus 28? Needless to say, I got mocked. Seriously, I don't understand why it's so cold here, we're in the middle of nowhere, yet we get the most extreme weather, and China thinks they have it bad. LOL

Well, let's see, this past week has pretty much been like hell - ten times over, lol =P But let's not go into the details, otherwise this entry will never end, lol. But one thing that I felt kind of bad about was asking for time off work - just the night before. Luckily my manager was really understanding about it. And in the end, I knew I made the right choice, had to set my priorities straight.

So how do I plan on rewarding myself for all that, I plan on going out this weekend!! haha, I know, I know, I'm out every other weekend, but still, I deserve to have fun. And while I'm young, might as well meet new people, do new things ;)

I started watching Dicey Business (what an utterly silly title for a drama), and it's actually quite all right. I think Tavia wants a change in character type (from her oh-so self-sacrificial roles), but it's not passing off too well. Jessica is pretty funny, just crazy, crazy gambling for her, lol. And of course Michael, just love, love, LOVE him like no tomorrow! hehe, you know how I'm a sucker for those type of guys =P Only up to Episode Two, so Bosco hasn't shown up yet, and Bobby is all right, his character is neutral =)

Hmm... not really watching anything else lately, wonder what other series will come out next, aside from Warlords. This lack of decent series to watch may a good sign for me to just focus on school, hehe. Speaking of, I better get cracking on some studying, while I'm still ahead of the game ;)

Conversationless

I was planning on going to Kitchner this Christmas break. It should be a happy thing really, but it's not. I originally decided against making the trip, and just work and hang out with friends here this Christmas break, but that plan changed after I got home yesterday.

Not that I don't want to talk to my family, but I have nothing to say to them, and what they say I'm not too concerned with. When a conversation does start, I just stand there and try to be part of the crowd. When I talk, they just feel dominated over and a conversation doesn't exist. So, at "supper" today, I told my mom I have decided to go visit my Amy Jie this Christmas break.

She doesn't want me to go needless to say. Understandable, but not tolerable. She just told me to tell my dad, so he can go and break the "no" to me. And you know, she can ask me all these questions, but I do not feel a need to tell her, because it is none of her business. She makes it seem like because I am going, she has the right to know everything, but she had mistaken one thing. I had never once asked for her permission, I was simply telling her my plans for this Christmas.

But I have officially decided to not go. I need to save up money, so when I graduate and get myself a job next year, I can move out. I've been planning this since I was legal to work, and I don't plan on ruining it.

Okay, that's enough for tonight, have to finish my Sociology paper tonight, so I can work on Computer Science assignment, and Risk and Insurance Management paper tomorrow =(

Fantastical Weekend!!

Yes, Tammy had a very wonderful long weekend this past week, and I'm finally all rested up and ready to go! This week will be a heavy one, since I have two term papers, two assignments, and a lab exam, all of which I have yet to start! So yes, have to pick up my slack and get going since I did nothing class-related this weekend -_-' But it was well worth it, I had a wonderful time hanging out with friends and what not ;)

Oh, but you know what got me really upset!? Okay, so a bunch of us went to a pub crawl Thursday night, and after heading to like the third, fourth bar, I realized I had lost the scarf my younger sister made for me! It bothered and still is bothering me to no end. If it had been a scarf I bought or made, no big deal, but my younger sister made it for me, and that makes me feel really bad, and I know she was really disappointed at me for losing it when I told her =( But it's basically died down now, and I prefer to not talk about it anymore.

On the bright side, went out for supper Saturday night with a couple friends, and that was really nice. It's nice to just sit and talk (i.e. actually have a in-depth conversation, haha). Then went and met up with the guys for bowling and pool (our last option, since Borat was sold out, hehe), and I hurt my finger playing pool, bled like crazy, but it's okay now =) Then the group of us went down to the club since it was another friend of mine was having a be-lated birthday get-together there. It was also the first time that both group of friends met each other! lol, yes, took a while there =P Had an absolutely fantastical time there, minus one incident o_O

Okay, now on with the online stuff, right? As everyone has probably watched or at least know, the TVB 39th Anniversary Awards are done and over. Just wanted to say Congratulations to Kenneth (everyone was really happy for him the moment his name was called), Kenny (after all those years, finally), Shirley (hehe, she kept going about how she loved her character when all winners talked about themselves), Steven (the poor guy and his eye), and King Sir (Chung King Fai)!!

Now I would really like to watch the TVB 2007 Sales Presenations! Even though Price of Greed wasn't announced as part of the 2007 presentations, I would still very much like to watch it, so hopefully it gets released soon =)

Now, time for bed, have early classes tomorrow morning, and would like to look decent while I'm there, LOL

My current loveable couple =P

Total side note, but I think the couple of Ron and Shirley is growing on me =P Starting from the Anniversary, they walked out as a pair, they're going to the United States this December together, AND their series The Brink of Law will be releasing soon ;)

LONG Weekend!!

Holy frig, it's feels like a whirlwind week! Since I was pretty much gone for a week from school due to my wisdom teeth surgery, I came back with a thousand things over-whelming me, which makes me wonder why I didn't just take time off work o_O And in the blink of an eye, the week is just about over (only two more classes) and I get a three-day weekend!

So Tams' plans for the weekend - out tonight, work tomorrow morning, out tomorrow night, work the next morning, and out that night as well. Somewhere along the line, I'll have to fit in finishing my four assignments. Kind of makes me wonder why I don't just cut down on my going out time, lol

TVB 39th Anniversary Awards results will be out tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure we all know who the female winners will be, which is why I'm more interested in knowing the results for the males =P I like Dodo's comment on the awards though, she said that she can't always try and hog the awards, the following generation would like them too. So take that Liza Wang!!

Really no other comment, I think I've burned out to really process anything else through my head. Oh, but I do believe Brink of Law will be airing soon, Steven mentioned it somewhere, sometime. That'd be nice, would like to watch a Steven and Shirley series, though they don't really have a relationship in that particular series.

Improving Graphics

Posted below are the TVB 2006 Highlights Issue IV, credits to TVB Square.

My thoughts on some of them...

Most Favorite Poster: Brink of Law

Seriously, is that not the world's coolest poster ever!? TVB has shown improvement! It's like a graphic art some gifted people online make ;) hehe, just for that, it makes me anticipate for the series =P Ooh, and special mention to Dicey Business, way cute! It's like so cartoon-ish, almost like a board game cover, hehe =P

Most Anticipated Series: Price of Greed and Brink of Law

I still want to see Price of Greed!! hehe, I love the slogan it came with, I love the title it has, and I generally quite like the cast. Also, would like to watch Brink of Law - because of the poster. lol, I'm kidding, the poster helps, but I think it's an interesting topic. I love Steven, and Shirley's character seems really cool, though I can already tell you the ending of the series, way too typical. And did you notice that in the listing of the names, Shirley is listed as the first female lead, yet she has the smallest picture of the all the girls in the poster. I think it's because TVB is no longer trying to promote her, but her character is actually quite significant to the story.

That's all I really have to say, just thought I'd share a bit of my two cents while I'm in a posting mood, lol

Perfect Life

Happy be-lated Halloween everyone!! Just four days late, that's not too bad, lol

So, had my wisdom tooth pulled on Halloween, and you know what I did? I took advantage of my high tolerance for pain, and pigged out on my younger brother's chocolate bars, chips, gummies, cookies, you name it! And did I pay for it, yes, very much so =( I have been in so much pain the past four days, I haven't been able to sleep, eat, or go out. And I have to literally wake up every six hours to take pain killers and anti-biotics, it's horrible.

Wasn't planning on going to work on yesterday since I looked and felt like crap, but ended up going, because someone from work was leaving, and we were all going to go out for lunch with her. Not a good idea, I could barely eat and talk, but whatever, it was nice to just be there, and I had to give her her going away card =)

Went and watched Flushed Away last night, and those slugs are the world's cutest things! They like made the movie for me, lol! Other than that, it was a decent movie, La Frog was pretty funny too, French people, so stereotyped, haha! I really want to watch BORAT! Now that seems like a hilarious movie, except it's not out here yet, which is silly, because it should be. Just because I live in a small city, doesn't mean I don't enjoy watching movies =P

Up to Episode Nine in To Grow with Love, and I feel so bad for Claire already =( I just feel that her and Andy were not only the picture perfect couple, but they really tried to make things work. I think the most heart-wrenching relationships are the relationships where it's not that two people don't love one another nor is it that one person is not giving enough in a realtionship, but because of some twist of fate that ruins two people who do love each other.

Seems like everyone is changing their blog layout, I would like that too. Just not quite sure what I want or what I'm currently into right now. I think I've lost feeling and interest in things, lol, that would seriously be horrible.

Went to work this morning, and was talking to my manager, and we just talked about literally everything - work, family, even relationships. We share a lot of the same views on things, and I really do admire her in all areas of life. How she handle all aspects of things makes me envious, but also very hopeful that my life can be like that too. She enjoys the job the she has (not to mention it's high-paying), she is super close with her family, and her and her husband always seems to be like a couple that just started dating, the stage where you don't feel obligated to him anymore than you do anyone else. I guess I'm really double standard, I have two different aspects of "the perfect life" and I just want to achieve one of the two in the near future.

But yes, that was my long ramble for the night, have to head out now. My friend's having a going-away party, and if I miss this one too, she's going to hate me, lol

TVB 2007 Calendar

This post is specially for Eileen and Mandy, since they haven't seen the calendars yet (otherwise I wouldn't even bother making a post for TVB, lol), credits to Bebe for scanning.

The cover - just not even bothering to cover up any more, LOL

The months...

Vanity - every girl's characteristic

My mom and dad are indeed two very different people. Can never say who is better or who is worse, but when it comes to practicality, my mom takes first place. My dad never really goes out of his way to state every day on how he thinks his dear children look, but when we do dress up, he'll notice, he'll comment, and it's nice. My mom makes sure she reminds her dear children every day how important it is for people, in particular girls, to look pretty, and that the first thing that should ever matter, is how a person looks. Superficial? Not necessarily, more-so matter-of-fact and practical. But you know, I can't say that I don't agree. When people first look at you, they don't think, woah, check out that inner beauty. In the long run though, of course inner beauty wins out ;)

Speaking of the superficiality of society, I am currently watching To Grow with Love =P I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Something simple, sweet, and hopeful. There's no massively annoying character who's killing the series for me, but Eddie Kwan's character is bugging me... He's doing some under-handed things to boot Andy out of the picture with Claire, and I like the two together =( Selena did some pretty under-handed things to Myolie too, but karma hit her every single time that I feel so embarassed and pitiful towards her than anything, LOL! And Matthew, his character reminds me of Scott, most definitely.

Ooh, I saw the previews of the TVB 2007 Calendar, and I WANT IT!! Though they are basically selling the sex appeal, I think some sexuality is fine, as long as it's not over-doing it to the point that I want to go and slap them all upside the head. But yeah, living in this dinky city isn't helping all too much, lol

aww... you know what's so utterly romantic!? The bridge scene Kevin and Niki filmed for the "Most Beautiful Seven Days"! it looked so... beautiful! Yes, hence the title, but still, wish that could happen to me in real life, LOL

But yes, time for bed now, way too late and need to work way too early =P

Scared written across my forehead

Got my hair cut!! I like it a lot better than my previous long, straight hair ;) Got bangs, got it more layered, got it trimmed, and not exactly straight anymore, lol

Went curling last night, and took my younger brother, and it was pretty fun. Met new people, did new things, it was good. Also embarassing. Each of us was supposed to push the rock and try to get it to the center of the target on the other end, and when I tried to push it, it wouldn't budge! Everyone started cracking up and saying that the rock was heavier than I was -_-' Then when we were all hanging out at the lounge, my manger's husband was like, have you ever heard of dog jaw, and I didn't, so he was like here, feel my jaw. The moment I reached over and touched the side of his jaw, he like barked out, and freaked the living life out of me that I screamed out, and everyone was staring at me! I was like oh gosh, where's the corner to hide in! And you know what he said afterwards!? He was like I'm sorry, I don't know why I did that, I just felt like I had to do that to you.

I swear, I must have SCARED written right across my forehead or something, everyone is always trying to scare me like no tomorrow. Happened at work just before that too! I was at work yesterday morning, and while I was all by myself at the front, I kept hearing noises around me, so I got up and walked towards the back entrance, and one of the two guys I worked with popped out from there, and I screamed bloody murder. I like gave him heck for it, and while I was doing that, I heard this jingling sound from the other side of my desk, so I like looked over, and the other guy popped up at me, and I literally screamed myself out. They were laughing themselves out, and I gave them talk about freaking me out, 'cause I was totally traumatized from The Grudge 2 as it was.

And you know what they did after!? I never knew our office had an interoffice intercom, and one of them started doing that croaking noise the lady from The Grudge did, and it was echoing throughout the office! I got so scared, I started looking all over for where the noise was coming from and couldn't find anyone, and I couldn't stand being alone anymore that I ran straight to where they were and saw him doing the sound over the phone! And afterwards, when I went to the break room to fill up my mug of water, they literally jumped out at me from around the corner, and I almost threw my mug at one of them out of reaction! He was so lucky I held back in time!

But yes, lesson of the weekend, don't let people know you get scared easily, LOL

Feels like suicide week!

This week has seriously burned me out like no tomorrow =( All I want to do right now is watch a movie, go for a drink, something that doesn't require much, or any, thought process. Thank gosh tomorrow is Friday, I'm going to need the weekend to recover from all of this -_-'

Thought I'd watch Land of Wealth to rest my nerves, but wrong series to watch when wanting to relax =P What the freaking hell was Tavia thinking when she wanted to act all sacrificial!? Obviously, she did everything, BUT think. If John dies, then that makes Sonija a widow, meaning she could always end up with Moses, but no... let's go marry him and ruin it for everyone... Steven is so sad... and Claire is actually really cool. It makes sense that she wants to have the best for her husband, but in the end, she will always go by her morals and beliefs =)

On the bright side, the male version of Beautiful Cooking, the whole time the one that was running through my head - Chilam is the world's biggest cutie!! LOVE his dimples! haha, and Edmond was just absolutely hilarious, soooo clueless, LOL

Ordered my glasses on Wednesday, and will be getting them by this coming Wednesday. Thick upper black frame, have to take a snapshot of it sometime for you girls to see ;)

Ooh, and getting my hair cut tomorrow afternoon, planning on getting bangs, something I haven't had in at almost ten years, lol, there's likely a reason as to why, but I need a massive change, hehe

Okay, I really need some sleep now, otherwise I'm going to look like crap for work tomorrow morning =P And I will go online as soon as possible to chat with all you beautiful girls *mwhuah*

Busy, busy, busy!

The Grudge 2 was HELL scary!! My sisters and I went with my older sister’s boyfriend and a ton of his friends, and of course, the girls freaked out like no tomorrow, and the guys were either bored as heck or laughing themselves out at the scenes. I don’t mind scary movies at all, but I do and will get super scared after watching it – this one was no different, except the main reason I watched this one was because of Edison (whom I thought did pretty decent in the movie) =P

How about this week is super rank busy for me, two assignments, two midterms, and I work at my max this week =( And it’s horrible, I’m back into my groove of going last minute for school, have to get out of it!!

It snowed last night! That’s right, winter has FINALLY arrived! Do not like driving in the snow at all, ‘cause it takes me like twice as long to get places, but since my birthday is in the winter time, can’t hate it all that much, LOL

Ooh, I’m getting my hair cut this Friday!! Super psyched, ‘cause I really need a change, I’ve had long, straight hair for like ever! And the first place I’m going to after my haircut, the pub crawl Friday night (seriously don’t know how I’ll go to work Saturday morning when I’m dead tired – unless I don’t sleep and just head there). And Saturday night is the company curling night, so that should be interesting =P I’m taking my younger sister with me, she needs to get out more, and I would like her to meet different people, who knows, she could land herself a summer part-time ;)

But yes, have to get running now, have to hand in my Sociology paper -_-‘

Positive Attitude!?

aww... you know what made me really happy today - LOTS! I was in a massive rush this morning, 'cause I slept in and took my sweet ass time getting ready for work, so I didn't have breakfast. Went to work, and my supervisor and the guys bought me breakfast, ice cream, and what not, so that was really nice and sweet of them. Then went for dim sum with my long-time highschool buddies and friends from my previous job, and it was absolutely wonderful! We were having like a thousand conversations amongst ourselves, and were probably the loudest group there, laughing our heads off over the world's silliest and senseless things =P So yeah, that was really great, I really missed seeing them. Ooh, and after that, went back to work, and when I was just about off, the lady I'm the assistant for, told me that on Friday, my manager had commented to her on how I had such a positive attitude about everything. That made me super duper happy, because though I do not think I'm that utterly positive, I truely do love being at work, and that's likely why it seems like I'm always positive. But I am more than grateful for every opportunity I have been given by her, and hope that I can continue to learn more =)

Watched the wedding scene between John Chiang and Sonija in Land of Wealth, and it was utterly tragic for both Sonija and Moses =( More so for Moses, 'cause I was torn for him (especially the part where he tried to talk to her while they were picking out the fabrics, he just sounded so heart-broken) - but it was his fault! I don't really blame Sonija, 'cause if the man you love doesn't love you, obviously, the next best thing is the man who loves you, but that you might not love as much. That sounded horrible, but you get my drift.

Was going to post my little picks versus TVB's picks for their anniversary awards, but I just simply do not feel like putting in that tad of effort. We all know who should win, and who TVB will give it to, and needless to say, those two will not be coinciding any time soon, so no sense even trying to justify anything.

But have to get going to watch The Grudge 2 now, went to work Friday morning, and was told the tickets were sold out, so had to wait until tonight =P Not to mention, my inconsiderate older sister keeps staring over my should while I'm trying to blog, hence why I had to change my blog back to Tammoo -_-' It will only be temporary, like this template I just changed in my last post (really like the color scheme, fits my mood and personality). You know how fickle I am, I constantly need change and enjoy new things all the time =P

Lots, lots, lots this week!!

Whew, it has been one LONG weekend (not to mention week), thought I was going to get lazy and stop blogging for a while there -_-' But I'm back in the zone, and wishing a Happy Be-lated Thanksgiving to all you girls who celebrated it this past weekend with your beloved^^

So, went and got one of my wisdom teeth pulled on Friday morning. It swelled a tad, but wasn't in dying pain, so I went to class that afternoon to hand in an assignment (hoping like no tomorrow that I didn't bump into anyone I know). Then went out that same night and watched The Departed, and let me just say, Leonardo DiCaprio all the way! lol, or might be the fact that I just like Tony's character from Infernal Affairs. But I find it highly insulting that the director did not give credit to the HK directors at all. The movie is the exact remake of Infernal Affairs, yet he claims to the entire world, that his movie is nothing like the original, and that the only thing the original gave him, was inspiration. Can you be any more of a jerk!?

Ooh, The Grudge 2 is coming out this Friday, and of course, I'm going to watch it, even if not for the movie's sake, for the sake that Edison Chen made it into a Hollywood movie ;) Speaking of Edison, I read some good reviews for his HK movie with Sam Lee, Dog Bite Dog, so am considering getting it, though I probably shouldn't -_-'

Going back to work tomorrow morning, it's been like a week or two since I've gone to work on a regular day due to my wisdom tooth and the Thanksgiving holiday. So, did I also mention that I am going curling with people from the company I work at! LOL, I know, go figure, I don't even know the gist of the game, and yet I plan on playing it =P I actually didn't intend to, but my manager convinced me that it wouldn't be that embarassing, and I do believe I might benefit from the experience, more or less, lol

Oh, and I'm going for dim sum this Saturday (after work that is)! Meeting up with some of my high school friends, isn't that weird!? That's super weird, lol, seeing as how I haven't seen most of them for like a year or two! But it'll be cool, 'cause I've been bumping into some of them, and miss them that much more, so it'll be nice to catch up with everyone^^

But yes, have to end off here, really need to finish an assignment before bed, and I need to sleep early if I want to look good for tomorrow, LOL, nights!

Busy October

October has arrived! What is so special about it? It is the month for the Mid-Autumn Festival, Halloween, and whatever else everyone celebrates. For me, it is the month I get BOTH my wisdom teeth pulled out - one on the 6th, the other on the 31st. Also, it is the month of midterm exams, midterm papers, and so forth. Sounds exciting, doesn't it =P But this month, I would also like to get ONE thing done. Now you should all wish me luck with that, lol

Was watching some more of My Date with a Vampire 2, and just wanted to say that Joey Leung is a wonderful actor, just that his talents were never acknowledged =( He did very well throughout the series, and in particular the scene of when Pinky Cheung (his mom in the series) dies, very well done.

Watched Justin's One Good Show, and though I had my younger sister keep saying how he was a sell out (with the Watson products), I thought it was a very good concert, mainly because I loved that he could sing live ;) Also cute when he only pointed out to Shirley attending his concert, when his other MV girls were there too =P

But yes, that is all for now, have to get going to class. I have actually been on a very good streak of attending ALL my classes. It's going to break on Friday when I go to get my wisdom teeth pulled though =(

And of course I did not forget, was just busy yesterday, but HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DEAR MANDY MUI!! I'm sure you had an uber duber birthday, and hope it stays that way every day!

Random Blog

Woah, feeling this massive frustration killing me from the inside. This is what my "home" gives me, the feeling of frustration. An on-going, perpetual frustration.

But a contrasting note, I LOVE working Saturday mornings. Yup, I'm working Saturday mornings now, much more preferable than my Monday nights, 'cause I don't have to drive in the dark, and I can actually go out at night ;)

Currently skimming the trilogy of My Date with a Vampire again =P Favorite character ever - Angie Cheung as Ma Ding Dong. Best scene was the wedding gown scene =) And loved her friendship with Kenneth Chan, they were so great, too bad the ending was as it was =( But that just makes it all the memorable^^

hehe, talk about random blog hey, just a little dose of everything today, lol

The Flu or The Wisdom Teeth

hehe, want to hear something silly!? I caught the flu this weekend, so I basically blamed everything on it. And so, since I was in a blaming mood, I blamed the massive ache in my jaw as part of my flu =P Turns out it wasn't the flu, but instead my wisdom tooth was growing out and killing me like no tomorrow! lol, yes, so all the previous times I thought it was too much sugar or my clumsiness of bumping my jaw, it was the wisdom tooth kicking in -_-'

While I can still use the excuse of being sick and grouchy, I guess I'll state it again. I do NOT like it nor appreciate it when people complain to me about school. Each and every time I go online, people say they want to chat, but it is their way of saying, I need someone to complain to about my school life. I am not that person. Not that I don't care about you, I just don't care about Calculus, Chemistry, and all that stuff that is now behind me.

Now that that is finally off my chest, onto some series briefing. Watched the ending of Men in Pain, and from watching the ending, it was pretty entertaining. Started the middle of Love Guaranteed, and Ram Tseung is one funny man, really liking him with Rain Lau right now. Finishing Face to Fate (two more episodes to go), and Derek finally re-appeared!! hehe, I really love the supporting cast, I think they are the main reason I keep watching this series^^ And of course, Raymond is still uber cool, I totally understand where he's coming from. That or I just think he's cool, LOL

What else, what else... ooh, I'm getting glasses!! hehe, well, I'm near-sighted, and have been since Grade Ten, but haven't worn glasses in like five, six years! But I really needed to have a substitute from my contacts, I was wearing them past the comfort zone. And I decided that I really needed a change, for my own sake or for the sake of others ;)

An Asian Thing

Is it just me, or is it an Asian thing to be easily embarassed?! I was at work this morning, and Kevin totally made me feel humiliated in front of all the guys. Seriously, it's his life goal to make me feel awkward around all the guys I work with. But needless to say, Scott made it better, he's like the reason I bother looking nice for work =P Actually, my manager Sandi is one of the main reasons I like my job, she's always so easy-going and flexible with my work schedule and what not, it makes it much more comfortable to approach her with things =)

Hmm... nothing much else to say, I've been killed wtih school lately, so no time to do anything else, not for friends, series, or SLEEP!! Maybe this weekend I'll get my life back and then rant a whole ton, LOL

Oh, one thing I told my sister I'd do for her like months ago... let me repeat, she told me to say it. Quoted from her, "Tams, you should post this somewhere - RON HAS FAT EARS!" I know, go figure hey, of all the things to notice about a guy, she notices his ears, LOL

Spending Spree

Oh gosh, how utterly depressing, I don't think I've spent so much as I have these past few months. Shopping, movies, shopping, bowling, shopping, food, and it goes on -_-' I'm like keen on not spending anymore for the next month or two, possibly three =( On the little bright side, love my white jacket! lol, yes, that does cheer me up a bit, well worth my money. And I keep telling myself, as long as I keep with my current job, then everything will be fine =P Speaking of work, I work today ;)

So I've been surfing around Raymond Forest, and came across this magazine about his filming for "Tong Sum Fung Bo", where there was supposed to be an emotional scene between him and Linda Chung, and she of course needed artificial tears to force the scene out. What a way to kill the atmosphere AND bring down Raymond's performance. Expected none-the-less. I just keep motivating myself, there's still Raymond and Yoyo to look forward too. Speaking of Yoyo, if she really is with Ekin, I'd be happy for them, they're both the happy-go-lucky type^^

Up to Episode 20 in Face to Fate, and I found myself forwarding through the series. Always happens when I'm watching series, I try to watch all of it, but by the time I'm half-way through the series, I just get tired of it, and skip to parts I want to watch. Sadly, that's like not even five minutes of each episode lately -_-' Ooh, but a pretty entertaining series lately, Welcome to the House! Raymond Cho and Johnson Lee are just hilarious!! One is so practical, the other such a push-over. Missed a massive chunk of the beginning, but I'll just keep watching from here, since I generally just watch their parts =P

Watching Spree

Wow, it's only been one week, and I already feel like I'm falling behind in class, how sad it that -_-' hehe, well, it's not that bad, just need to read my chapters up in Comm 363 ;)

So, started Angels of Mission this week, and it's pretty good. Watched up to Episode Ten, and so far I like Sonija's character quite a bit, determined and capable. I hope to achieve that in my career some time in the near future. Gilbert and her would have been awesome, but he got kind of freaky stalkerish O_o Shirley's character is hilarious, she's so "thick-faced" it cracks me up. Loved the part where she told that stalker to stop saying her name or she would "back-hand him"! But it was sad watching Ram Tseung's case, his life was so miserable, Shirley really didn't want to shoot him =( And wow, I must say, Charmaine's been in the business longer, but her acting was not as preferable as the other two. She always tries to put on that cold stare, but instead of looking cool, it looked like something was wrong with her eyes... love her hair though, LOL

Skimming Land of Wealth, and so far enjoying Steven and Sonija's relationship, just friends who can share anything. Also liking Moses and Sonija. Moses is always so solemn and sad, so it's nice to see Sonija cheer him up. By the way, Sonija is much more natural in this series, definite improvement. Watched the "making of" for the series, and Moses is such a goof, loved the part where Sonija was throwing those "man taus" at him, and it nailed him on the forehead, and both of them starting cracking up like crazy, hehe

Ooh, since I'm on a watching-spree rant, I watched Ricky Bobby last Friday, and I LOVE the guy who plays Will Ferrell's dad - Gary Cole! He's so cool, and of course I got made fun of once again, for liking certain type of guys. Oh, and the Friday before, my younger sister and I went and watched Material Girls! Haha, rank chick-flick, but we needed to do something to pass time by, since we locked ourselves out of our own house. Yeah, hard to believe, two Uni students, and yet, not one remembered to take the house keys when going out =P We were going to head to VHQ to rent a movie, and as I was driving, it hit me that we didn't have the house key with the car key. But we didn't even end up renting a movie, 'cause aside from not being able to get in the house to watch it, we have never rented a movie before -_-' So yeah, we just decided to go to the new theatre and catch a movie instead, lol

I think I saw Carl that night too, not sure though, it was really dark, so couldn't tell. I notice that I've been bumping into a lot of people from highschool and dance lately. Just this past month alone, I've re-encountered Vince, Bryce, Josh, Tony, Alfred, Betsy, Meghan, Kelly, Sara, Mandy, Jeff, and I could really go on forever. Makes me miss a lot of people, but at the same time, when I hear them all remark as to how much I've changed, I'm glad that my past is way back in the past, I prefer how I am now.

Was very happy at work today, no particular reason, plain happy. Well, there are reasons, but no particular reason, hehe, getting late now, nites! Ooh, one more thing - CONGRATS to Lukas for winning Rockstar Supernova!

Losing is Not an Option

Wah, finally finished Central Affairs, and wow, talk about Raymond Wong all over again. lol, actually, the series is pretty much dumb, especially near the end, what the crap was the maid thinking!? It's like she had no conscious and only knew how to do what she was told. Meh, Helena Law and Raymond made their parts worthwhile, hehe, wish I had such an easy-going grandma =P Not that mine isn't cool, 'cause Grams is cool too, just that she has that component of reality, unlike TV. I think it should have ended with Gilbert (i.e. Charles) being with Jo (Rachel) or "Selina", that would have been nice. And my dear Raymond, he lost horribly. He could have won it all, but he gave in to something utterly undeserving of all he had. It would kill me to lose, probably end up being as pathetic as Michelle, and using everybody around me just to win.

Hey, I'm working tomorrow!! haha, I sound like such a dork, but I think I'll enjoy my schedule there, I get so much done when I'm just focusing on work itself with no one around to bother me. Oh gosh, I feel my hermit nature coming back. But it does get cold and boring sometimes, so luckily Fridays will be regular mornings where I get to see everyone again^^

School so far is quite good. Everything is going pretty well, especially my Finance classes, like them both, the later one much better though, 'cause there's this hot guy in the class ;) haha, yes, as everyone has been telling me, I am a fickle, fickle person. I see one, like one, think of another person, like that other person. But I'm not that horrible, I'm only like this, because I'm not actually seeing anyone right now. When I'm actually dating, it's just that one guy.

Okay, that's enough for tonight, time for Land of Wealth. I'm not one for drama and seeing people suffer, but I would like to see Moses, Sonija, and Steven on the screen again, hehe, the only factors for me to watch this series =P

Horrible, Horrible Dream

Am I not pathetic, this is the third post today (even though it's past midnight, considered the same day since I haven't slept). Right now, I have a massive-ass headache. That dream is bothering me, a lot. The people in the dream were people who just once passed by in life, and they were there acting out their roles, watching as I forced myself to solve all the problems, all the while holding up a smile to satisfy them.

It reminds me of a story I once told someone, "The Teary-Eyed Clown." It's been three years, I'm sure he has now forgotten of it, I would have. He was in the dream as well.

Horrible Dream

Didn't mention in my post this morning, I had a really, really horrible dream last night. I thought I could just brush it off, so didn't mention it, but it was the only thing that was in my head this entire day. It wasn't really a nightmare, because there was nothing wacked-out scary about it, but it woke me up and kept me up the rest of the night, and that has never happened to me before. I don't even know how to explain it, but it was just not good, I don't think I'll be able to stop thinking about it for a while.

So work this afternoon went pretty well. I only work three hours on Mondays, so it's not hard work, just a lot of files to go through. And I didn't see that particular someone, so no awkwardness occurring. It was actually nice, 'cause I just worked, didn't have to think much on anything. I think people were right when they said I have no sense of commitment.

Did I mention I've taken a liking to Justin's songs. Yeah, all you girls probably got me into it. lol, I'm kidding, I just started taking up some song-listening, since there's not much I do online now that I've dropped everything aside from blogging. hehe, quite liking "Kuet Jin Yee Sai Jo" (i.e. Battle Wealthy Boy), humorous and definitely different from all those songs out there. Actually, my current favorite song: It Ends Tonight - The All American Rejects. Fits my mood lately.

Anyway, I better go start reading on my Comm 363 chapter readings, need to pull my act together this term ;)

Going Back to Work

I'm going back to work today!! After classes that is >.< hehe, kind of excited and yet... it's going to be kind of awkward with... yeah. lol

aww... I'm finally finishing Central Affairs, from like more than half a year ago, and got to the part where Raymond (Wong) kills Helena Law. The whole part leading up to her death was so heart-wrenching, 'cause you knew she would never really want him convicted, but he just never learned =( Also, I'm a sucker for the grandparent/grandchild relationships, 'cause I think they mean much more than the lovesick couples who take an entire series to realize they love one another.

Okay, that's about it, short ramble today, haha, yes, I know, surprisingly, lol

New Bloggie

Voila! haha, yes, I'm sure most of you are going to be like what the heck, starting fresh - AGAIN!? lol, and yes, I sure am =P I just don't feel like dealing with hosts and all that jazz, so I thought might as well just go simple and find a decent place where I can blog. Oh, and since my laptop burned up, no PSP, i.e. no images to post >.<

So what has Tammy been up to these past few months? Working, and loving it, of course. I'm keeping it as a part-time while heading back to Uni. Uni classes started on Wednesday, and so far it's looking hopeful, lol, now let's pray it stays that way. As for my dear social life, well, I'm preparing for hibernation from that, haha, happens every year, I like end up cutting myself off from the rest of the world the moment classes start. As for the other part of my social life, if you fall under the category of Kimbo, Eileen, or Mandy, then I believe it's enough said, LOL

Now some random HK entertainment news to peck at. Tavia and her breast enhancement. For someone who kept claiming how she is satisfied and confident with her figure, looks like that confidence cracked =P And oh gosh, my dear Raymond in "Tong Sum Fung Bo", I was going to watch that series for him, but reading the news with him in that series, I think I'll even have to skip his parts. But I'm totally cool that he is with Yoyo, rooting for them all the way!

Speaking of series, watching Face to Fate right now, and originally loving Raymond, but wow did he get booted the moment Derek hit the screen! lol, I like waited 11, 12 episodes, and put up with Tavia's pure idiocy that whole time (I'm sorry, but don't tell me she didn't annoy the hell out of you the past 12 episodes before Derek showed up), just to see him. Sure, the costume co-ordinator sucked at designing his look, but I can definitely overlook that. Ooh, and don't you just love Frankie's singing! hehe, aside from the fact that I'm bias, and like Frankie's singing, I really do like the sub-theme. Though I feel that Tavia sounds raw next to him. I know, I know, seems like I'm totally picking on Tavia tonight, but I can say, I'm not, that's seriously what I feel.

Hmm... nothing else to really say, except one uber duber important thing!! I love EILEEN MUI!! I got a package from her yesterday, and it totally made my day! Solely because it came from her, lol, thanks so much mui *mwhuah* *mwhuah* And here I must apologize to my dear Eileen mui, she made me the cutest Pirates of the Carribean layout, featuring my favorite actor (Johnny Depp, if you seriously need me to state it, lol), and I couldn't even use it (coding issues), so uber sorry for that -_-' But I know my dear mui will forgive me - right? lol

That is all for tonight, nites!
